Tradition, Flavors, and Explosive Music
The Magriço Market returned to Penedono on November 8th, 9th, and 10th, in an edition marked by the celebration of local entrepreneurship, regional products, and the strong identity of the municipality. Organized by the Municipality of Penedono, the event also featured the presence of the Honourable Secretary of State for Forests, Eng. Rui Ladeira, at the official opening ceremony, highlighting the institutional and regional importance of this initiative.
Over the course of three days, the market became a true meeting point for tradition, flavors, and community. The famous Penedono chestnut, recognized as one of the best in the world, once again took center stage, with the Chestnut Competition showcasing the talent and dedication of local producers. The region’s olive oil also played a prominent role, reinforcing the area’s rich gastronomic and agricultural heritage.
But it was at night that the event truly gained a special energy. On the 8th, after the concert by David Carreira, one of the most intense and memorable moments of the program took place with the performance of Anny Dupin, this time in a solo format. With no special effects, just her music and stage presence, she managed to transform the atmosphere and create a direct connection with the audience, lifting the energy of the venue and turning the night into a moment of pure celebration. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the event, leaving a strong impression on everyone who attended.
The celebration continued on the 9th with performances by Márcio Pereira, Jorge Guerreiro, Santa Maria, and DJ Mikas, keeping the energy high and the spirit of togetherness alive. On the 10th, the closing night featured groups Barc’ ÀVela and Quina Barreiros, ensuring a lively farewell true to the popular spirit of the event.
More than just a festive program, the Magriço Market once again established itself as a celebration of Penedono’s identity, where tradition, gastronomy, and music came together in a genuine and welcoming atmosphere. Free admission allowed everyone to take part in this experience, bringing generations together and strengthening pride in the region.
