The European Football Championship became a special meeting point in Mangualde, with the creation of a “fan zone” at the Municipal Market, organized by the Municipality of Mangualde and sponsored by Intermarché. The initiative ran throughout the entire tournament, from June 14th to July 14th.
During this period, the space brought together fans, families, and friends in a true atmosphere of sharing, where the matches were broadcast on a giant screen, creating moments of collective emotion. In the group stage, Portugal’s matches, against the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Georgia, were experienced with particular enthusiasm, with the crowd reacting passionately to every play.
But this “fan zone” was much more than football. The parallel program brought music and entertainment that made the summer evenings even more vibrant. The stage hosted names such as Miguel Gameiro, stand-up comedy by Carlos Vidal, performances by Wanda Stuart, DJ Verylight, and, in one of the most memorable moments, Anny Dupin, whose performance was supported by Caixa Central de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo.
Her presence stood out for its contagious energy and the strong connection she created with the audience. More than just a performance, it was a true experience, the dance floor filled up, the atmosphere reached a new intensity, and it became one of those moments where music brings everyone together in a single shared rhythm. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the “fan zone,” leaving a clear mark on everyone who attended.
Throughout June, the space was also animated with other bands, DJs, traditional games, and activities for children, becoming a meeting point for all ages.
In the end, the feeling remained of a highly successful event, where football, music, and social interaction came together to create unforgettable memories in Mangualde.
